Hitting the track this weekend :). Got my bigger injectors in and tuned for them, and will be putting some Nittos on the rear! Expectations?

    Mods:

    full boltons, short-throw, 3.73 rear, GT2 cam, 245/50-16 NT555-R's

I can't even remember my best time so far :P. I do believe it was around a 15.0x or something similar; hopefully with cooler weather, adequate fueling, better tires, and some more experience I can knock out some mid 14's.

    My best run:

EDIT: DA was 1460, track was Orlando Speedworld, and time was from 10am to 3pm.

Glad to see you got into the 14's. When you race try to take off as soon as you see the third amber light, light up and you will get better reaction times.

screw r/t, I'm still trying to learn how to launch on these Nittos. I think I can still get my 60' times down below 2.0 :)

That's a great vid. What did the Stang do? It looks like you got him till the end.

          Nice times.

Yea launching and it has a lot more in it. you should be able to cut 1.9s all day maybe better which will put you very low into the 14s just need a tad more practice launching quick car!

13.59. I took him pretty hard out of the hole, but he caught up to me.

Ya, I'm hoping on an even better day (DA was 1460), more practice and a tune, 13's will be on my slip :)

Learn to drive the thing and you'll be close to 13s.
                2.1 60 is atrocious!

Lets see some 1.95s and then you'll be in business :)

Congrats on 14.5s! Car has some power...now you just have to tweak it and practice.

I'm working on it man :P. Car's my DD, so I don't want to beat it completely to death, but I like to have fun with it. First time out with the Nittos; first launch was on 25psi, then lowered to 20psi. I'm thinking of going down to 15 next time, that seems to be the sweet spot from what I'm told.

                    Re: 10-5

Don't go too low or you'll start losing too much mph because of the soft tire.

20-25 psi should be FINE. Nittos require a long burnout because they are a harder compound than most drag radials (making them the better street tire).

With my 255 MT ET street radials I was cutting 1.60s at 27psi....for what that's worth.

Edit- just watched your video...your burnout needs to be about twice as long with those tires. I'm pleased they were playing some pink floyd :)

Well, I'm holding the brake while burning them (no line lock :(), so that's as long as I could hold them. Car began rolling forward and brakes were too the floor :P
