i ran my car a while back just on street tires.. a few mods intake, full exhaust, lc arm, and more, thats not the point.. so i launch no spin perfect..then as i go to second i spin the **** out of the tires, so i let off..next round..go to second at partial throttle..then as i shift to third same ****..i know dradials or posi trac would help but for goodness sake its not like im supercharged or running juice..basically i just wanted to see what the car was capable of street tires before modding was continued, oh and i dont have problems hooking up on the street..just the strip

i also seem to hook up less on the strip....what size are your tires and what kind?

how is it you guys have so many problems with spinning? ive never had a single problem and my car shifts hard as **** on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.

you guys need some better rubber.

as street tires heat up, they're grip goes down. When was the last time you full out launched it on the street like you do on the strip? I'm willing to bet it's been awhile, and if you go try it you'll fine the strip does hook up better.

well I know in my case under hard acceleration I was getting wheel hop going into 3rd at the track...when I punch it to get on the highway I never have this issue....don't know about the O.P though...

posi's are for all cars, not just cars with power adders

ive done some hard launches of a stop light on an empty street and yeah of a launch the strip is better but who knows and i didnt burn out before any of my runs at the strip so my tires were not hot therefore losing grip that way wasnt a factor.

yea thats a no i dont have them anymore ..though my sixty was pretty decent but after that i dnt member much..im hoping to go to a track close to where i just moved to go to school..maybe ill have better luck there if not oh well im sure some dr's will get the job done

hey smoke panther what kinda times did you get when you went?.just wondering because i read in another discussion that you were cammed and im goin to do a cam and heads etc...oh yeah i found a time slip from before i modded anything with a best time of 15.9, i figured that would work since i dont have the ones when i went after mods.
