  • Back From Moroso

went up with some friends to moroso, so i decieded to test out my t5, so my buddy ran a frickin 13.5 in an auto 05 gt with only a tune, but i ran a 15.541 @89.12 mph with a bad reaction time(got me off guard at the stage) of .209 and a 60 ft of 2.327. not bad considering i made only one pass for the first time ever at the track, i new i could have gone to 15 flat but i need a short shifter, those mile and a half throws sucked. the funny part was that i lined up with a mustang gt 03, the guy was wearing his helmet, loud *** exhaust, so i was like, **** he's gone on the launch, ha, i was on his *** all the way, he ran a 14.674 @99.18 mph with a 60 ft of 2.100 and reaction time of .114, better than mine but still i happy, i actually got what i expected to run, i have the video but it was ****in blurry, thanks alot "ROB" lol:eek:

Post it here next time: http://forum.camarov6.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18

Nice times. Glad you are having fun with the car :)

BTW, reaction time has absolutely nothing to do with ET.

ok, reaction time doesnt effect your 1/4 time, you can sit there for 15 minutes then finally go and still run a 15 sec pass.

and i have the stock shifter in my car, and i can power shift with it no problem

I was in the same boat as you; ya you can probably shift quickly with the stocker, but until you've actually put a short shifter in your car, you won't know how big of a difference it can make.

oh ok. but remember that i have been only driving my car as a manual for like less than a week so i was taking it easy, but i need to improve on my exhaust and shifter and hopefully get into 14's, like i said the launch got me off guard so next time ill launch at 3k and not at 2k.

You'll have to improve more than just your exhaust. What mods do you have?

I had a B&M Ripper when I had a M5 and it was alot better shifting than the stock shifter, so I can say they are worth it and not that pricey. Exhaust and headers would be a nice investment also.

I've got a MSD shift light; bought it with a 7000 pill, but never got to installing it. Plans have changed and I've got another idea for a shift light, so it'll be going up for sale one of these days I feel like making a thread. You'd need to wire it up and get the RPM pill you want for it to work. I'd let it go for $50 shipped; can get pics if you want.
