with my stock rims i would just sit there roasting them when i punched it... these ones i sqeek and go!

you would be better off with the old rims

your car doesnt have enough power to take advantage of those rims, instead of burning rubber you are going to snap something

way too much stress on an already weak drivetrain.

I'm hoping to get a whisper lid by the time i go. also i found an aluminum drive shaft. I'm hoping to be high 14's (if possible)

not possible...not with those giant wheels and just bolt-ons

i have msd coils and msd 8mm wires. I changed to msd because i kept having problems with ac delco. No problems with msd. much happier with them.

well we went to the track, i just ran my car with the cat back exhaust. no programer or anything and ran a 15.15 at 91 mph. i beat the grand am by a second and he had a better reation time and the vette rims and tires helped me hook up much better. i asked a mechanic and he showed me that my drivetrain was built really strong and i would not have to worry about it breaking when some1 told me it was crap. He also said the only disadvantage to the wider tire is it wears out the tie rods faster...

Yeah that makes sense. The wider tires let you hook up real nice.

And whoever said that front wheel drive has better traction off the line is a dumb ***.

Rearwheel drive has the best traction in a drag scenario. When you launch the car all of the weight is transferred to the rear and plants it on the rear tires. You can snap off the line much quicker. Only thing better is AWD

Thats hardly an MSD Ignition. MSD ignitio would be a DIS-4 or something like it.

well little late but was going to ask what gears did you have? 3.42s or 3.08s, or are you a manual...

I ran 15.2 stock in a 5-speed 2k 3.8 for a stock time.
