I don't want to spend much on the 3.4
I already have a nitrous kit from my old 3.8L camaro.
Most of the money will be spent on the chassis.
I don't have unlimited funds. Just doing it in my spare time. Spending money on it as I go. I have a 98 with a forged LS1. Its my bracket car. Nothing too crazy. It has a cage in it and has 400RWHP. I have it about were I want it for bracket racing. I don't really want to mess with it. Its best run NA was 7.08 at 96 MPH in the 1/8.
I expect this will take about 3 years or so to have the LSX running.
If you want to run 14's its gonna cost some money. Lots of it.
The only thing that will be spent for the 3.4L will maybe be a converter. The rest is for my main project, so it really makes no difference whether I run the 3.4L before getting rid of it. I'm not getting into the engine at all. Not throwing any away on cams etc. I already have a NOS kit that I had on my 3.8L I used to have.
I remember in Z28.com, before this board was up, V8 owners would often bash us for racing in a 3.8 V6. Now we are doing the same to people with 3.4 or less.
I say go for it. If hondas with their little 1.5 engine can race why can't the rest of us do it?

X2, if you like to work on engines and do stuff to them go for it. Have to remember its what you like and not others.
