Thanks to my bro for putting up the money we were able to get this bird going again. It's his car and he's going to try and register it under his name.
The fusible links are now fixed and it's not burning out anymore. The problem was the ignition switch. It was fried to bits. So that was replaced.
Now that the car is running several problems remain. The stereo is dead and so is the amp.
But the one that I need to fix badly is the hard cold start. It takes quite a bit of cranking to get it started. Once it start it feels like the fuel is not properly reaching the engine. Everytime I want to rev. it up the engine wants to stall. I let it idle for like 2 min. and then the Engine is fine. I can rev. it up and it runs strong, but sometimes I feel a bit of hesitation.
Now hot starts are fine, but when I let the car off for more than 6 hours the hard starts begins again.
So is this a Fuel Pressure Regulator problem?
The fuel pump is fine and the fuel filter is new. The injectors were cleaned last week and there's no black smoke coming from the pipes, so that means the injectors doesn't leak.
Any ideas you want to throw at me would help, thanks.
