if I remember right, I used 400, the 800, then 1500, then I buffed it using a dremel. I cleared it using rattle can clear, but it's yellowed already. when I swap in the 3.4 I'm planning on doing, I'll strip it, and use urethane clear.
ahh.. well good tips! I appreciate it.. Going to take alot of the motor apart this winter... cold and snowy here in ohio... I like the valve covers too... did you clear coat them?? Hi temp clear??
not sure how hi temp clear is, or if there is a special clear that would be good for that. I'll ask on the SPI forum when it's time. I love their clear
