My old 1983 z28 has 84,000, and looks beautiful for a car that is 19 years old. My '85 2.8 V6 Firebird currently has 298,000 miles on it. I put a new long block in it 2 months ago. The original motor finally developed a leaky head gasket. It was more cost efficient to put a new long block in it than replace just the head gasket and do a valve job. I changed to synthetic motor oil around 90K roughly in 1991.Comment
