    Hey, you said I'd have to drill a hole for the air temp sensor if I was gonna' put a CAI in? Is that all it needs--a hole? It looks a little more complex than that.

    You'll have to drill a hole and tap it, I've done this to mine. I forget the size of the tap. I put mine on the under side to the intake hose/tube whatever right where it comes off the airbox so the wires still reach, then you can run with an open filter this way. Don't worry, this is an easy project. If you run into any problems, just ask. [img]smile.gif[/img]

      Yes, I just drilled a hole towards the end of the intake (the end by the filter). By the way, when you get your intake, you will have to remove the airbox cannister, but it just comes right off after you undo the screw. I don't remember the correct size, because I have the article at school, so I'll check tomorrow. I recommend drilling the hole slightly smaller, and then filing it down to the correct size. This way the sensor will have a tight, secure fit. If you accidentally make the hold too big, just wrap some electrical tape around the threads of the sensor so it will fit in the hole more securely.

      So I'll get the size for you tomorrow. The entire article should be on the internet within a few days since the web page assignment was due today.

        Well, this afternoon, I went out and tinkered with that airbox a lil', and I found out what everyone's been tellin' me about. Would that deal plugged into the airbox be the Mass Airflow Sensor? Just curious. Anyways, I put a K&N filter in there a long time ago, so I kinda' wanna' make use of it, so I pulled the whole box out. I took off the plastic snorkel that sucks air from the start--looked pointless to me, plus I think I figured out a way to "Southern Engineer" more of a CAI system using the stock box. Thanks a ton for all of you guys' help!

          Just remember if you do do the CAI then dont forget about that sensor. I was working on my intake one day and forgot to plug the sensore back in. My car ran like poop. I had the worst gas mileage in my life and the car hesitated like crazy.
