  • Stuck Headlamp motor problems

Ok guys, heres the deal. My passanger side headlight has been giving me problems since I bought the car over a year ago. It just simply ceases to function correctly. Sometimes it stays up, sometimes down, and sometimes I get no action from it at all. I have just tried out my fourth motor and no go. Driver side has always worked just fine, it's just that friggin passanger side. Anyone else had this problem? What should I do? This is becoming quite the pain in the *** and these motors are just piling up.

And they cant be completely dead as they have worked before, only briefly but they have worked. I have taken them apart, thouroughly cleaned them, re-built them, I don't know how much time has been devoted to this annoying little problem, so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
I'm on the verg of ripping my head off  !

    Thanks for reading.

chsck the wiring. Use multimeter. See if the bad motor will plug into the good motors harness. Or just drive around with the car winking @ everyone ;)

Or you can take the moter out and when you look at it there is a round cover you can take off. Take the cover off and inside you'll find little copper brushes in side, just bend them out a little bit, put some dielctric grease in there a just close it back up and it should work for another 100,000 miles.

      Hope I'v helped ;)

Mine would do something similar, both would go up and neither would go down. (Sounds like an ex-girlfriend :D ) My problem ended up being the dash switch itself. Took it apart and cleaned the contacts, works perfect now
