Well, its got the hood anyway. I finally got my ASCD ram air hood. It looks like this, only primer gray.
Hood
I had a friend help me put it on. Easy swap. Hardest part was lifting off the heavy stock hood. Used a ratchet set to remove the old hood's hardware and put it on the new one. For some reason the new hood didn't come with that stuff. (the spring, and latch at the front of the hood.) No big deal to swap it.
Even though its primer grey I think it looks pretty good. Its not a functional hood, but I could easily take my dremel to it and have cool air running into the engine bay. The grilles are opened up, but they just flow air into a bulge on the underside of the hood. Just cut open the bulge and thats it.
I'm thinking of buying the LT1 ram air setup, but I don't want to pay $400 for something that wasn't meant for my engine. Maybe I'll improvise something....
