  • Bigger Injectors or not?

Hello everyone. I have a 92 firebird with a crane 2030 cam, 1.52 roller rockers, Custom CAI, Hooker Super Competition Headers, Dynomax Catalytic converter, Dynomax Cat-back exhaust, jet pulleys, hypertech thermochip w/160 stat and a MSD 6A ignion with blaster coil and wires. I purchased a set of 19lb injectors off of ebay awhile back because I purchased a new intake intended to port, but no one will do it around here so I'm stuck with the new injectors, if I put them in I'll have to reprogram the computer the cost of that is 375 w/s&h.

I am getting the headers installed in Mid May or whenever it rains for a couple weeks to get the salt all off the roads. Do you think I'll need the injectors because of the headers or not?

Your help will be appreciated, thirdgen.org is getting to be pretty bad, nobody helps out, so I'm switching all of my important posts overhere. It takes a few weeks to send in the computer to ed wright so I figure if I have to send it in why not while it is still in storage. I'm getting the car out probably in 3 weeks so if you could answer my post as soon as you guys can it will be great. Thanks alot everyone.

no. your stock injectors should be fine with the headers. the thirdgen.org people are usually pretty good especially in the V6 section. i lurk there sometimes.

BTW, where did you get your headers?

Sorry you feelthat way about tthirdgen, I post-whore there also. Your stock injectors should be fine for now, but are you sure you need the computer reprogramed?

I think he was one of the few to get the heaaders off of e-bay.

Yeah I bought them off of ebay about 6 months ago. They are still brand-new. I was told that I needed to get the computer reprogrammed by my mechanic who put my cam in. Or else the injectors would be useless. Thanks for the suggestions guy, I probably wont put the injectors on now. When I get the rocker arms re-adjusted and the headers on I'll let you know how it performs. Maybe I'll be able to compete with the 3.8's on this board

I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7...
