    Lookin' for some "bolt on", or at least lose to, hp. I was looking into underdrive pulleys, but I haven't done any engine work for myself and was wondering if it was easy enough to do to free up some power. Besides that, just some higher performance parts (ignition coil and better wires). Just lookin for opinions and any help anyone can offer.

    Have you seen the third gen encyclopedia? 91Firebird recently updated it.

    I've got ASP underdrive pulleys from there. I like them.

      Yes I've seen the updates. That's what made me ask the question in the first place. To start with, I dont know what 25% Crank and 23% Alternator means. Tryin to learn somethin here and maybe make it work for me. Thats all.

        Oh, my bad.

        Underdrive means that the pulleys turn slower than stock. 25% underdrive means 25% slower than stock. For the crank, its not too important. But some people's cars have issues when they slow down the alternator. The alternator doesn't give the battery a full charge anymore.

        I've never noticed a problem with the above underdrive set, but I mostly drive on the highway, and a minimum of 20 minutes, so it has time to charge up. Haven't noticed any problems in the occasional stop-and-go traffic I've been in.....

          I talked to someone else and they suggested the 25% crank and 23% alternator set from thunderracing.com

          I think it suits what I use it for. Thanks for the help
