• What Mod To buy With $250

I recently fell into some extra money, approx $250 give or take. What mod can I get the most bang for the buck? Looking at the Strut Tower Brace as I previously stated, and I am also looking at MSD Digital Ignition. Any other thoughts?

How hard is it to install an MSD Digital Ignition system? What all would I need to get?

LoL, sorry about all the questions, but gotta learn somewhere!

    Thanks.

dont waste your money on an aftermarket ignition system . you might get a little bit better gas milage , but if your ignition system is in good shape , you are fine off .

the strut tower brace would be the best money you could spend IMO . or SFC's i would go with the "weld in type" if you get sfc's . both are great and you will notice an immediate difference . too bad you werent around for the "$30 jamex strut tower brace" deal that all of us over on thirdgen.org got in on (except for me because my camaro is gone :(

what about basics ? air filter ? i see you have the flowmaster exhaust already . is it a cat back or just the muffler ? i dont think they make headers for the 3.1 , but if they do , id look into those .

new bushings all around, p-s-t style, the full tune up I've posted about. tire gauge-propper pressure is good on gas & performance ;) . I'll need $10 for tubing for my cai ;)

I have the flowmaster muffler and an recently had a "high flow" cat put on. Not a whole brand name exhaust system though. Using stock pipes.

So you would suggest the Strut Tower Brace? I am replacing Motor mounts and tranny mount and im going to have a front end allignment done also. Tune up was done about 6 months ago or so (new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pvc valve) and my custom CAI has a K&N Cone Filter, just a month old.

        Anything else?

            hey digital

in my humble :D opinion go for a transgo shift kit and or a chip and pulleys with the mods that you have now they will work well after you do those then you can jump to ignition and subframe conectors. here are a few places to look for parts

I just spent $125 total after shipping and everything on the ASP pulley set, B&M Shift Improver Kit, and the B&M Kickdown Kit at Summit (check out the modifications encyclopedia for more info and part #'s). I have heard good things about the pulley set and shift kit and they were pretty cheap. The kickdown kit will also be useful because I'm going to be doing a lot of commuting on the freeway with college. You might want to consider getting those. I would wait on a chip as one of your last mods because if you have plans to add something like a camshaft, nitrous, or a supercharger in the future, you would need to get a new chip.
