Does anyone else have loose and rattling side mirros? They rattle very loud while driving down the road, and even more so with my stereo on!

I took the door panel off looking for a bolt or something to tighten it up, but to no avail. Is there a fix for this problem?

dude, you're not getting any lovin' from that car recently are you :(

will check out the service manual & see if there is anything that can be tightened up.
Off hand, I think you'll have to remove the mirror, tighten whatever up, & glue mirror back on.

Actually, these problems have been hounding me for quite some time, I'm just now getting around to fixing them, one at a time. The car is a good runing car in all actuality. Just has some minor flaws.

So the bolt which holds the mirror to the car is behind the mirror glass? That would explain why I couldnt get to, or reach a bolt from within the door panel.

Hmm.. Im going to buy a new service manual I think.

      Thanks for your help!

My passenger side miror was like that, but I kinda pulled the mirror to one side as much as I could and looked in to see a screw missing. I guesstimated and bought a few screws and used a long screwdriver to replace the one missing. Result; no more rattling mirror. If its the same one as mine, its kind of a PITA to get the right angle to screw it in.....

Rattling Mirrors Fixed. Turns out there was a nut missing on the mirror from within the door panel and the other side was just loose.

          Thanks
