I'll take some pics of the "proposed" intake tonight. Not exactly the top of the line, but wayyy better than stock. Working around the MAF sux, would've sucked even more if I didn't have themighty Dremel
Just giving fair warning for those used to "quality" aftermarket cai.

got tail lights off parts car. it even has the split rear seat option, I just couldn't afford/had room for the parts. don't know why the lights are darker, but saves me $$$ from getting tail light covers

performance increase, well I've never driven the car before so I really have no refrence.
here's what's left to do on the car to get it on the road:
tighten up oil filter adapter, add filter & oil.
add tranny fluid
drillout brocken tranny bolts, replace w/new ones usung poly mount.
connect torque convertor to flexlate
hookup Y-pipe, unless I get the headers first.
switch over to the non-leaking 14" rims.
hook up cai
I'm holding off on gewtting under the car for last just because. not really much left, but I do have the rear interior panels out for painting.

Oh, ok, I didn't know you were still working on the car. You'll have to let us know how you like the 3.4 engine compared to your 2.8 when you get it running.

91Firebird, when's TealV6 or any other admin gonna add your 3rd gen page to the mod encyclopedia or tech database?

Yeah, that's a good idea, I bet yours gets more air since like you said, mine is contained within the engine bay. But anything is better than that stock cannister with the small opening.
I am not sure if this answers your question, let me know, but if you click on the modifications encyclopedia link on the bottom of the main firebirdv6.com page, look under "parts listings", and there is a link to the third gen encyclopedia, and that's where you can find the list of mods for 3rd gens. Within the 3rd gen encyclopedia, there are links to the cai and tb coolant bypass installations.
I know it's kinda weird because the 3rd gen link is hidden within the 4th gen encyclopedia, but I am only able to change/add pages with an address starting with http://thirdgenmods.firebirdv6.com/ so I can't change that.

yep, it does. either it's a new link, or I jut never seen it before
as for the intake...I'm going to see about taking that plastic thing off the bumper brace & hookup a scoop to better aim air/bugs/dirt at the filter.
Downside is getting to the filter to clean it. Upside is how often does a K&N filter need cleaning.

also did a mod on the flex tubing.......put a 9-10" peice of pvc tube in it just after the 45* piece, now it looks gay, but is smooth inside up to about 2" before the tb. should give it that extra umph!!
