• Auto barks 'em in second!

The bird now barks second gear hard even when she's not juiced. She barely would do it all after the tranny rebuild but once I put the 3.73s on her, she was talkin all over town. At first I didn't care for it because it happened all the time, but now I kind of like. The second gear scratch is even more when she's on the bottle. I'm headin to the track this weekend to get new times, we're headin for 14s, mustangs are goin' down!

That's cool, so what size shot of nitrous are you using?

How do you like the 3.73 gears? Can your car still accelerate pretty good at higher speeds on the freeway?

Good luck at the track! Make us third gen owners proud

The new gears are great and passing at freeway speeds are better than before. Even when your in fourth gear, since we can't be floored it helps acceleration with the 3.73s. I'm still just running the 80 shot. I had to send back my nitrous line because it had a leak but the new one won't be sent until after this weekend, so I'm hoping for rain this weekend then the race will be posponed until the following weekend when I'll have the new line.

hey, how much did you pay for the 3.73's in total? is it an open differential?

The gears cost $180, plus install kit $50, plus oil $30, I did the install myself so I saved on that. I'm running a LSD, it is so much nicer than the old open rear end.
