Whats wrong with it?!

Not happy. I could really use someones help right now. Im sick and dont wanna hafta go through a helluva lot to fix this.
Sittin at a light, the car alluva sudden started idling real hard. [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img] I was watchin the tach needle bounce between 8-950 rpms. The whole entire car was vibrating in intensity proportional to the rpm. It abnormally vibrates in this manner in any gear except in park. It starts normally, but once its in gear, it worries the hell outta me. Im thinkin disty cap or plugs.. not the wires, those are new (september).... So whaddya think.

Actually I ran into problems with plat's also.
Check cap and rotor, those are easy and go from there

I think it is called an igniton module. Or something to that effect. It is inside the distributor. My car was running rough as well, not as rough as you explained it but I changed that and most of it went away. You cantry that. I think it is between $10-15.

Lucky me. I ruled out the wires cuz they're only 3 months old. The heat from the manifold is melting my wires, and one was arcing to the manifold, thereby making it run on 5 cylinders instead of 6. I'm wrapping it with electrical tape for a temporary fix, and my bro's buying me a new set of wires for christmas. Hope they hold out till then. Might buy some shielding for em so they dont burn out before then.

Get the heat shields!! I lost my brand new Delco #3 wire in 3 months cause the EGR ate it.
