I donno if anyone here still has a carborator, but I need help figuring out whats wrong with mine. When ever I idle it sticks around 12K, untill I just tap the gas pedal, then it drops to 800-900 where it belongs.

when was last rebuild?, when was last time you gave it a good card cleaner bath? sounds like good ol' fashion choke prob. give more details, like how many miles, last tune up.....1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built :rock:
