If you are looking for Technical Data for third gens, the best place to look would be on this page:
http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml

I really don't know how we could go about making our own tech data page because it would be almost an exact duplicate of their information. We could ask for permission to use their information, but I doubt they would approve of it since it looks like it took a long time to come up with all those numbers.

The reason we put together a third gen modifications encyclopedia was because there was nothing like it. I still have not seen a site that gives 3rd gen V6 mods with their part #'s. But as for the Tech Data, that information is already out there (at the link above) so I don't see much of a need to have a duplicate set of third gen data on this site. What do you guys think?

What does the 3.8 have to do with anything? You know MustangEater, you're very good at complaining about things but when it comes time to do something better yourself you're awfully quiet.

91Firebird e-mailed the admins a long time ago asking about third gen info. I told him the truth: our admins don't know enough about third gens to write pages about it, so we wouldn't. But if he wanted to whip something up we would be glad to host it and give it traffic, also to set him up as the moderator of the new Third Gen forum that we set up at his request.

91Firebird turned around and wrote the Third Gen Modifications Encyclopedia. He did something positive. He caused this forum to be born.

Yes, there are some 3.8 owners who are jerks to 3.4 owners. But the admins do not rank among them. TealV6 has a 3.4, for crying out loud. The reason the Mods Encyclopedia, Tech Database, and Engine Tech secions have mostly 3.8 info is because their authors have 3.8s and they know much more about 3.8s than they do about 3.4s. If you want a 3.4 page then say so and make one yourself! Just as we did with the third gens, we'd be glad to host and provide traffic/links to any info you wanted to post. But if you don't want to make the 3.4 pages don't get mad at US because we don't.

And don't get mad at US because a few 3.8 members are jerks; we can't control the behavior of 3,000 members. We break up 3.8 vs. 3.4 flame wars as best we can but that's about all we can do. What do you want us to do, ban people for posting "I think the 3.8 is a better engine"?

Sheesh.

Well I think Stefan answered the question very well, so I'll lock it (feel free to unlock it if you wish). Also, thanks for putting the 2 links at the top of this forum for the Mod Encyclopedia and Tech Data.
