Hey, When i checked my VIN somewhere it mentioned that i had M.P.I. fuel injection. I noticed SLP said their CAI was only for T.P.I.
Can i still make the one for my car thats in the mod encyclopedia, or does anyone know where i can buy one that would work fr my car?
Yes the homemade one in the mod encyclopedia will work for your car. In fact, the one in the encyclopedia was for a 91 Firebird, so yours should be an exact duplicate. The SLP CAI would require some minor work to fit in your car. So yeah, I would highly recommend making the CAI yourself (it will save you about $140 vs. the SLP CAI).

On the custom CAI, in my experience, it helped to reset the computer after putting it in. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes to reset the sensors to make the most of the setup, and it helped too. Just a thought though.

Yeah, if you unplug the negative cable from the battery, leave it for at least a minute. When a minute's up, reconnect the cable, and you'll hear a bunch of clicks--that's all the electronics resetting (sp?). Go drive it for about 4-6 miles to get new readings and you're all set. It may help, it may not, but in my opinion, the computer needs to reset to allow for more air to be taken by the sensor and to make the right air-fuel mix, etc. In short, every little bit helps.

Does anyone else have the problem after you disconnect the battery of having your car not being able to idle for three days. It takes mine that long for the computer to reset the Idle Air Control, I wish I had a scan tool so I could reset it right away.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
