sad reality between 3rd gen & 4th gen.

WE can see the whole motor & we hve the luxury of rigging less exotic home made cai/ram air. we have that 2-3 ft space between the rad fan & the belts ;)

Well I looked around the V-6 section of camaroz28.com and found the reason why I don't post at places like that. Just people arguing at what can and can not be done with a 6.

I loved the one on the guy wanting 14's and 300 horse at the crank!

YES you can get the 3.4 into the 14's easy if you build the engine. I have seen PLENTY of 3.8's do it with just a 3.42 rear, trans-go, direct-flo, plugs, wires, slicks and a good 60

It seems unless you have a TPI 350, LT1, or LS1 you will never go fast to most people, heck, even the 305 guys think they are so much better when they are only the 6 bangers of the v-8's

I got one guy calling BS on 200rwhp but he wants to build his 305 up by porting everything out and a bolt on or two and get welll up into the 250rwhp range.........

All well, Yeah I think the TB would be good just because Ill be flowing so much air in the intake and heads that I think the stock TB would hurt the car.

I LOVE having a machine shop, welding shop, sheet metal shop, and paint shop at school :D

yeah I miss my 85 2.8L at times... so much easer to get to the back half the motor, oyu do not even wnat ot know how hard it was to get the driver side valve cover off... stupid AIR system.

Yeah ram air was pretty easy to rig on a 3rd gen Camaro, I rember I ran 2 3 in. dryer tubes form the grill through, 2 conveint holes in the bumper supports and cut the bottome of both air boxes off, and attaching the tubews with some AC venting form home depot.

CAI I made for my 4th gen was a little tricker to figure out, but hey.

[QB]P.S. here is the dyno numbers on the stage 1 package 146rwhp at 4600 RPMs 186rwtq at 3400-3500 RPMs.

He has a few nasty ignition and fuel problems and this was on a almost stock 5 speed car  , Ill have the stage 2, 1.8 valves, more porting, much nicer cam :D

EDIT: I just re read the power pak thread, those numbers are BEFORE the power pak

Yep, those were my dyno's. That max TQ number is a little low because the RPM signal to the dyno computer was getting messed up we only got the RPM range of 3400-5500. Max TQ is below the 3400RPM area I believe. I don't think 200RWHP out of the PowerPak is unbelievable. We have alot of potential HP waiting to be unlocked once the engine breaths better!

My thoughts exactly, Say you get the car up to 160rwhp before the pak when you get the problems fixed, something tells me 200rwhp may be easier than we think....
