Peged the speedo (85mph speedo) today at 4k and got there pretty quick.
In Denver I hit 85 at 5k and it took a while to get there (alltitude)
Is it me or is that pretty good considering when My shift points are higher than that at WOT from a stop. If I am at 90 ish at 4k rpm and the revs are going up slow something tells me the car has a lot left in it, power is also still strong, not droping off.

When I had my 77 T/A, I think the rpm's were that high, but it had a 4sp. I've only gone about 4-5mph so far in my bird :( so far

What is your rpm at cruising speed for 90 mph (or 80mph)? On my car, I can go 80 at about 2,250 rpm on a flat highway. I'll have to see what the rpm is at 90. I have an automatic with 3.23 gears. I have gone up to 105, but I didn't check the rpms, and while the engine was obviously working hard to get there, it felt like it did have some power left.

3500 ish at cruise for 90mph. I know for a fact that 110 is probably my limit, I don't think I would want to go that fast on a tired engine and old suspension anywase but the speed limit around here is either 65 or 75 so its not that hard to get up another 20 or so mph
