1991
Gone was the IROC-Z; back was the Z28 who had left production in 88. The Z28 was once again the Camaro Flag ship. You could only get the 305 TPI or the Corvettes L98 350 TPI. Like years gone by the 305 could be had a 5 speed or a 700R4 4 speed auto and the 350 L98 could only be had with the 700R4 4 sped auto. The Z28 looked different, it had all new 16 inch rims, a new front fascia, and spoiler, rocker molding and hood louvers. All this change, but the motors were the same as 1990 models. A convertible was still offered. 290 305 1LE were built, 175 350 1LE built. Also new for 1991 was the B4C cop package. A Z28 in an RS body. 592 B4C Camaros built. All Firebirds received restyled noses loosely fashioned after "Banshee" show car. Trans Am's ground effects restyled as well. Trans Am and Formula receive new flat wing wrap around spoilers. 1991 would also bring about the return of the Trans Am convertible. The largest motor in the convertible was the LB9 305 TPI.
