i dont post very often, Im really not that new here, i have been reading stuff on this site for like a year. Anyway, my 89 iroc has something major wrong with the brakes. when i press them moderate to hard, the car lunges right, and i mean lunges. i had it lined up, wasnt it. then i tried the calipers, not that either. next the rubber brake lines, still nothing. more calipers(free replacement) nothing. does anyone know how to check the proportion valve to see if thats it. also, someone said it may be the lower ball joints. could they cause the car to "jump" when weight is on the suspension?

piston in left caliper could be stuck. nope, re-read your post
how are your bushings/springs. when I replaced the struts on my car, the driver side spring had snaped off about 3/4 coil worth.
Don't know about checking a proprtioning valve, but it just varies the bias from front to rear.
How are the rear brakes? the pass right could be locking

If you have rear drums, they're adjustable.
