Because the time slips page has no entries for 3.1 liter cars, Im gunna ask you guys. What would be an average estimated 1/4 mile time for say a 91 camaro auto 3.1 liter lightly modded? Even go as far as to say a perfect launch. My buddy keeps tellin me my 91 camaro will run low 16's at the track but Ive yet to try. I think hes smoking something. What do you guys think?

there is a thirdgen in the 3.4 N/A section. I believe times in the high16-17sec are realistic, given that any mod we do to our cars will help counteract the age/milage on the engine.

16.8 has been the best NA I've done, but that's with a full tank and speakers, amps, all seats in. If you can lose some serious wieght in the car you could reach low 16's, but you need to lose around 400 pounds.

16.8 on a good day, good launch, pull the rear seats, A/C, spare, free mods, all the little things in the car, and a good ignition. If I wanted to i am sure Id run a 16.9 on the 2.8, but then I have no power options or anything like that.

My best run thus far is a 16.6 I was extremely happy with this run. At the time I also had the old shocks in springs in the car and since I am in FLorida, it was about 95 out that day. We all pushed the cars to the front.

Dang, thats a pretty nice run for our lil engines. Maybe Ill be so lucky when I run this summer. Thanks for the info guys. Keep it coming. Maybe we can get a 3.1 section in the time slips page soon enough.

            Hey Stezer, manual or auto?

Did 16.5 the other day on the G-tech with the new headers. This run was still with a full load of speakers and fuel, plus it was on a country road so I couldn't get a good launch. I haven't given her a run on nitrous with the new headers yet but I hope to soon.
