I want headers, but every catalogue I look in every single set is for v8s. Anyone have any luck finding someplace that sells 'em for the 189ci 3.1L MPFI?

Pacesetter makes a set, I've got them on my car. I got them through Summit for around $200. You will have to heat up the right side header and bend it a little to keep it from touching the frame, then have a muffler shop make a new y-pipe for ya. It's a little work but the car sounds great. stupid companies and their not making headers for the 3.1 Thats upsetting... but its good to know it can be done. 200 bucks is a good price too. I might think about that one next paycheck - How much was the y pipe by the way?AIM: ChevyGuy1022
Email:ChevyGuy1022@swfla.rr.com
\'91 Camaro RS
K&N Filtered CCAI
Bosch Plat 4+ plugs

this one is a little pricey but, hey, it's better than none.

Did you notice a good increase in HP and sound? Could you elaborate a little? I want to know if this is worth a $400 investment?[*]Car: 1991 CHEVY CAMARO RS
[*]Engine: 3.1lt (191ci) V6 - MPFI
[*]Stereo: Alpine 7995 H/U | Eclipse 21000 EQ | BOSS IQ 3000w Amp | Crossfire AB 400watt Amp | 3 AudioBahn 12\" D/V Subs | Planet Audio 4x6\'s & 6x9\'s

The Pacesetter header looks better than the one on the ThirdGen.org site, they have one continuous pipe from the block to the collector instead of cut and welded back together in sections. As for hp and torque gains it was 5hp and 12lbs of torque, that is according to the G-tech, but I went .3 seconds faster in the quarter. Hopefully it will be a lot more once I get the new upper intake built and get rid of the restrictive pancake one that is on there now. I'll let you all know how that turns out. It should allow the engine to breath a lot easier and it will look hella nice, should be done on Monday. :D

Once you get a CAI or equivilant on there you should see even more increase though G-tech probably isn't the most accurate way, I'd love to see a dyno sheet if you ever get it dynoed. Are the Pacesetters long tubes or shorties like the ones on thirdgen? I remember seeing a couple older two-piece headers on ebay for our 60* engines that are supposed to be really good if you can find a set.

correct me if im wrong, but arent the long ones better for low end and the shorties better for top end, like highway speeds and such?
