  • Found Headers for the 3.1

Well, they are actually for Fiero 3.1 and 2.8. I emailed the guy and asked if they would fit on the Camaro/Firebird V6 and he said yes. He just needs a few detailed pics of the engine bay. I will say the Headers are expensive but they look high quality. THough, I dont have them and I am just letting you all know what I found.

Just in case the Link doesnt work:

Here is the reply email that I got from the company also:

    Josh,

This would be quite possible. What we would need to know is clearance issues and bracket mounting points. What we really need to see is a few detailed photos of your engine bay so that we could get an idea of where the header outlets will be, then we can supply you with the additional tubing to make the connections fromt the headers to the lower exhaust system.

Oh, one more thing they also have a High-Performance intake manifold. I suggest looking at the whole site. Just click home on the bottom of the header page. Thats All!!!

Those don't look even close to what I have, I think you'd be better off getting the ones the 3.4 calls for. I don't think it would be worth the effort to make those work.

Of course they dont look like the ones you have. These were made for Fieros. Since the engine is in the back and the engine sits horizontally, the exhaust is shaped quite diffferent.

What I was trying to get at was, why bother with headers that aren't remotely close to what you need them to be other than the fact they can bolt to your block, especially when they're going to cost you more than they should.

That is true, you do have a great point. Didnt meant to sound rude or anything. Anyway, I am putting a hold on any upgrades for my car other then a rebuild here sometime soon. I am trying to purchase a bike.

I am looking to get 00-02 Yamaha R1. I have always wanted a bike. I am used to riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R. And have ridden quite a few ZX-7Rs so I thought I would go with the R1 instead or the R6. Plus, I thought the R1 was going to be to heavy for me, I am not that big of a guy, but I sat on my friends 99 R1 and I could not believe the weight. It was lighter then my friends 94 ZX-6R. I did some research and found out that the Y2K R1 has a 385 lb dry weight. I was amazed. Anyway, sorry I know this isnt F-Body related, just trying to anwser a question!
