Better be careful, 'leaking' the R-12 is a Federal offense and carries one heck of a hefty fine. Even if the stuff doesn't mess with the ozone, the government thinks it does and will fine you for it either way. Good luck with the conversion.

For the record, none of mine's leaking, but I read in a Motor Trend issue that if you have an older car with the older refridgerant, you should make a conversion if you plan on keeping your car running. I'd never heard of the 'fine' thing before, but it's still good to know.1992 Arctic White Firebird
3.1L V6, TB Coolant Bypass, CAI, Turbo Muffler, other little things.

http://www.geocities.com/colinobu/MyHomepage.html

\". . .Finger in the air and the flag still wavin\'. . .\"

Yeah, mine ended up having a few pin hole leaks one day for some strange reason.LOL On a serious note, mine leaked a little for a while, one day "something" must have helped the rest out....

If you plan on selling it to anyone who knows jack about the older cars you might want to convert it because the R-12 is a pain to get unless you have certification to buy it, and even then it's expensive unless you buy it in huge quantities.
