I have a question, A friend of mine used to own a (somewhere between the years 1989 and 1991) camaro RS, he was saying it was a v8. It sounded nice but everywhere i look, the RS was a v6... Is there an RS v8?

yes, there was a tbi 305 v8
really though, ive heard a number of people say theyve beaten the almighty tbi 305 ( ) with theyre tiny v6's. i know someone across my street with one but havent got the chance to race him yet. so i dont know if i'm a believer of that yet or not1992 Camaro RS
Performance: K/N filter and custom CAI
Stereo/Electronics: 10\" Kicker Subwoofers, DEHP-4400 Pioneer Head Unit
Maintenance: New brake lines, New transmission mount
Upcoming: Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, Catco Catalytic Converter

well, i rode in his car when he had it. It was fast but it seemed that mine accelerated faster than his... thats why i was wondering. He kinda joked about my car when i got it because of it being a v6. He said it was a 350, but the engine didnt look like the size of a 350 because ive seen muscle cars with 350's in them. Well if you put a 305 and 350 next to each other they look the same, the block is the same size, just the displacement is different. Everyone looks at my engine and thinks its a 350, I let them think what they want. And I wouldn't put any money down if you race the 305, it will beat the 2.8. I can outrun the 80's 5.0 mustangs and few other cars.2003 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe, Daytona Blue, Frost leather interior, navigation, 18 inch wheels, M6, fully loaded, intake, crank pulley.

Previous cars:
1991 Mustang (347)
2002 RS Camaro
1985 IROC-Z (305)
1994 Camaro convertible V6

I've personally beaten a '91 camaro with the 305 TBI but it was in less than stellar shape. My car runs even stronger than it did from the factory, mainly due to the fact that I've found clues that make me believe the engine and trans have both been rebuilt less than 25,000 miles ago. The TBI is a glorified carb and isn't the best at making power, especially since it can't be tuned as easily as a carb can to get the most out of it.

I asked my friend today, it was a 1989 Camaro RS. Like I stated earlier, he said there was a 350 in it.1995 3.4L A4 Firebird White w/T-Tops *SOLD*
**NEW CAR**
2004 White Cavalier Coupe
2.2l ECOtec 5 speed

Thanks, didn't know that. Although he isn't a cop and nor was the original owner...LOL Only reason I asked these questions is because he is always saying "My car would have blown the paint off of yours" But he has been known to lie a lot. And the car didn't seem much faster than mine. His 0-60 was 9secs.1995 3.4L A4 Firebird White w/T-Tops *SOLD*
**NEW CAR**
2004 White Cavalier Coupe
2.2l ECOtec 5 speed
