  • 3.4 slow to go, I have a question for you...

    Here is a link to a pic of the power steering pump for the 3.4 I am rebuilding.

    Notice in the center of the picture, there is a black bracket with two holes in it. I need to know what that attaches to. I am sure its another bracket and it probably bolts onto the exhaust manifold, but I need to be sure. If you could supply me with a pic of this area on your 3.4, I would be so greatful.

    It bolts to a bracket on the front edge of the head.

      Good, I was worried that GM used a studed bolt of the exhaust manifold to secure it. So, is that just a stud or a studed head bolt?

        the bracket the brace on the back of the pump connects to is connected to the head/block w/what looks like threaded studs.
