By the way, since I won't be building the 3.4L anymore.

I have a Crane cam and stuff lying around. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2433002995
It will work in any 60 degree V6 made from 1980 to 1996. This is a great buy! I paid over $550 for it.

Yes, I still have the 3800 series 1 out of the Reatta. And yes, I did play with the idea of putting it into the firebird but since its fwd, it just seemed way too difficult.

just grab a 4th gen tranny w/electronic shift delete kit. But then, the N/A 3800 Series II motors put out as much power as the stock supercharged Series 1 . Give us some pics of the motor, especially the mbrackets, when it gets in ;)

The FWD drive motor in the Reatta will not fit in a RWD because there are no places to attach the motor mounts. The Series 1 FWD engine was not cast the same as a rwd version. The series 2 motors are different.
The motor mounts for the 3800s are different between a 95 and 99. Hell, I didn't even know that they put 3800s in Fbody from 93-95. I thought they used 3.4Ls. Anyways, the '99 motor mounts are a direct bolt on when installing the 3800 in the 3rd gen Fbird, from what I am told. But I think I may have jumped the gun on the 3800. I found a website called tunercat.com and it specializes in reprogramming ECMs in cars from 80-93 including the 2.8L V6. The main reason I was going to install the 3800 was because of the controls around to reprogram the OBD 2 computer. But since I am sure that I can do the same thing with the OBD 1 setup, I think I will stick with the 3.4L. I just like the idea of it being a direct bolt on.
That is weird. The newer one off of the 99 Camaro doens't look like that at all. You can't just bolt the engine mounts from the 3.4 to it? It doesn't use the same bolt pattern?
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
