  • Does anyone know the ratings for injectors on the 2.8L?

In the engine tech database, it lists specs for the L32 and L36 but I need the info for the 2.8L. I will have to use the injectors from the 2.8L on the 3.4L so I will have to know what I need to raise the fuel pressure up to to achieve the desired flow. If the injectors are the same size, great! If not, I will have to take the specs from the 3.4L (17lbs x fuel pressure) and multiple them to get Y value. Then divide Y by the rating for the 2.8L injectors and that would be my desired fuel pressure.
    Thanks,
    Jim

You don't have the 3.4 injectors? 2.8s are 17lbs also I belive. Just that the 3.4 injectors have a better pintle dispersion design. Besides, & I found this out researching the 3800 swap, the fuel pressures from the 2.8~3800 are almost identical, so I should be able to reyse my current fp for the new motor.

Well, geez! That seems WAY too convenient. But I guess I shouldn't complain since I know something won't go exactly to plan.

That makes more sense. It just didn't add up that if the 2.8 and 3.4 used the same size injectors even though the displacement was different.
            Thanks. :D
