ive heard about installing the 2030 series crane cam. some say that it doesnt come with a certain part on the end of it that is needed for mid 94 to 95. is this true? and if so, what is it? if i do install this cam, will it be compatible with the ECM in an 88 camaro?

the 2030 cam doesn't have the tang thing for the cam position sensor needed for teh 93~95 DIS. Check out the GMPP catalog. last time I checked, last year, they had a cam kit w/more lift & shyt & lifters for $118. ;) [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] I think it was the 3.4 HO cam kit.

Yep, that's it. Or you can experiment a little and try the Crane 250801. LSA 112, Lift 460 on int,ext and 290/300 adv. duration. It will take a bit of tuning to get it running right but it will be good. [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

I would go ahead & upgrade everything while the cam is out. New springs, retainiers, check pushrods for straightness. Even look into new rockers, roller tip or full rollers if you can swing the $$$$. Personally, I'd take that whole pollution controll thing as a "suggestion only" IF your car is properly uned, it shouldn't make that much of a difference.1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built :rock:
