Hey I'm new to the board and as I was reading some other topics it's obvious you guys know more about the F-Body's than I do, So I was wondering what I should/need to do to my 1987 Firebird 2.8, Completly stock besides my Crager wheels and my one glasspack exhaust with duals. It's close to X-Mas and I'm still in school so I of course live with my parents so what should I ask for or what can I do my self for that edge, I hate it when I see the RICE zooming past me off the line, help me out !

The TomP Tune-up is a good place to begin with. Start with a good base, and everything else will be even better. http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=13&t=000452 is a good thread also. Home Dpeot* Intake, you already have the exhaust taken care of. Suspension upgrades, anything that can be done to a V8 car can be done to the 6. What kind of tranny?

aside from engine mods, the best thing you can do is SFCs. i put them on mine and it made a world of difference. the car actually felt solid around turns and over traintracks. spohn has some really good subframe connectors, easier to install and good price. Tom P's tune up is definetly where to start. the man is a genious, lol.88 camaro 3.4 M5<br />15.9 @ 83mph, traction needed desprately

Another good place to check is my website. I have documented most of my modifications. The link is below. Best time I got out of the car was 15.67 @ 85.2 mph. And that's with stock internals! I had submitted it to the timeslips page but there's no 2.8L time sheet. :( Best part is all of the mods I have done will bolt (or transfer over) to the 3.4L I am installing (sooner or later,
 ).

Hey just another update, I took out my back seat but left in the bucket parts that you sit on just because I didn't think they mattered, went to Autozone and picked up a filter thanks 3.4, I was showing the pops last night some pics of other custom intake and he seems to think that my pipe is to thin (the hole isn't big enough) so I was wonddering if you ya'll knew the diameter of your intakes? Also My birthday was this past monday so i have some money from family and such close to 300$ WHat should I do,save up for a "SS" hood or what, a couple of things I was thinking of :
B&M Mega Shifter(160$)
B&M Stage 2 shift kit (?)
"SS" Style hood (450$ w/out shipping)
Whats your take, if theres somthing better let me know, also is there anyone from the STL area, thanks alot guys
