Already took it back but it was small and sense I got a bigger tube it wont fit, but I believe I found the size 3" should fit perfect, what about headers where do I find them at ?

headers........................depends. Pace Setter is "working on them", check out thirdgen.org & do a search (also a sticky atop the V6 thread forum). I even have a post in here somewhere about it. 3.4 4th gen s will work w/some "persuasion"

Also My birthday was this past monday so i have some money from family and such close to 300$ WHat should I do,save up for a "SS" hood or what, a couple of things I was thinking of :

        B&M Mega Shifter(160$)
        B&M Stage 2 shift kit (?)
"SS" Style hood (450$ w/out shipping)

Whats your take, if theres somthing better let me know, also is there anyone from the STL area, thanks alot guys

Hey thanks for the updates on the shift kit my dad said he really didn't want me to get it because he said their easy to put it but if you mess up it's alota money to fix, so what I guess I'm going to do is save what I got and just get the hood, heres a link My Hood

Another thing, do you think it's worth the time and money to find fiberglass body parts, because I know the fenders weigh alot and I've seen some 2nd generation fenders on a 88 Bird but they weren't fibgerglass, so let me know what you think about that idea, also are thoes headers you say street legal, because I was looking at alot of headers for 3.4 and some say not for street use and here in Missouri we have a high emissions test so, let me know

          Thanks

What ever brand headers you get, have them coated. This will keep your engine bay cooler & transfere more heat to the cat, which will help it burn cleaner. AS long as all emmissions equip is still working/hooked up, it should be good.

Hey Guys another update, I had my intake all mounted together and ready to be put on, we took out the stock intake and noticed 2 diffrent plugs, one connected to the stock air box and another connected to some sort of computer chip, so what is all this stuff because when we unplugged it of course made my service engine light come on so how do you by pass that, also just got a new rear axle, wiper motor and oxygen sensor, wow that was some money I think the total was 950 thats with some deals.

air box is probably the IAT (Intake Air Temp ) sensor, the other one, hooked up to chip? might be the MAF sensor.

You will need those in your custom intake. The IAT at least can just be mounted by the air filter. The MAF will have to be installed inline with the intake. The MAF measures the amount of incoming air so the ECM can determine a correct air fuel mixture. Without it, you will not lose power at WOT but your fuel economy will drop extremely.

3" pvc cut (hack sawed) to fit. I think it comes in like 5' legnths. gives you extra to work with.

OK, In the rubber boot going to the tb, I actually have PVC up in there, about 2" from the end towards the front & ending just before the metal tube from the valve cover hooks up. I have a 45% elbow going into that & connecting to a legnth of PVC. That leads to the MAF. I took it off the plastic elbow (Firebirds only) and dremeled out the inside of the PVC so the MAF lip would fit inside. I then gooped it upo w/Black RTV to give it a nice tight seal.

Hear is where most people just connect the air filter to the end of the MAF and fix the air intake temp sensor in there. I i used 4" rubber adaptor/coupler to connct it to the 90% elbow. I drilled the elbow & threaded the MAT (Manifold Air Temp) sensor & gooped that w/blue rtv. I removed the platform the evac cannister was on & drillled a hole in the spare battery tray. I then got another 4" adaptor/coupler & used that to connect the filter on the underside.

**** If you do that like I did, get a box to keep it from getting splashed from the tire. I learned the hard way & toasted a MAT sensor & had blue water getting sucked intothe engine (Yes, I'm using the $20 Blue filter from AZ). I reccomend getting one of those washable filters to feep water out better.

edit: Check out this other thread I started, good stuff/Ideas.

Another way is this. Still used 3" PVC. It's just routed a little different. And instead of routing it through the battery tray, I just removed the battery tray so cold air would more easier come up with the deflectors I installed. There is a pic of it on my mods page of my website posted in my signature. You will have to scroll down to the bottom of the list to find the pic.
