I have heard this more then once that they are kinda rare, is this true?

Its a 92 and I am not sure if its a tpi or a tbi. I had one....90 RS 305 TBI, 5speed, 3.08 posi. Still miss it sometimes. Now, a manual in a late L98 3rd gen is RARE from what ive heard because of the simple fact that the T-5 tranny couldnt handle the torque the L98 put out so they were cursed with autos. This of course is argueable. The 305 TPI's were 5speed or auto.

The L98 never came with the T5 from the factory...rumor is that a few slipped out with the T5, but only for GM employees...no confirmation of that.

the only l-98 factory car i've ever seen is a 91 RS with the 9c1 package and it was a special "dealer order" car from who else but Berger chevrolet that would be a wicked ride
i'm sure there are a few more out there though just no regular production models
