Did you ever have the chance to compare the flexplate off of the 2.8 or 3.4 with that of the 3800? I am wondering because I am looking for an aftermarket flywheel for the manual setup with my 3.4L. I need to know if the bolt pattern on the 2.8/3.4 flexplate is the same as the 3800 flexplate. I have having problems finding a good flywheel for the 3.4 and am thinking since the diameter of the flexplates should be the same but I am not sure about the bolt patterns.

THe bolt pattern on the convertors looked 99% the same, even held them up to each other. Big question you need to find out is the tooth count on the flexplates.
