i just bought an 82 z28 new interior, streetlegal mickey thompson slicks, headman headers($325), posi, 5 speed, new radiator and a few other things. it cost only $300 and only needs an engine and clutch. I recently bought a 350 that put down 320 hp to the wheels out of an auto 81 z28 and now all i need is a clutch and flywheel.
the thing is that I am a broke college student and need to find a performance clutch and I guess a regular flywheel for cheap. where do I look, I need some suggestions? should I get the flywheel from a junkyard and then have it reground or ? should I get the hays clutch for 229 or ? all my car needs to be complete is motor mounts, clutch, engine, and front ground affect. i already have a brand new engine to put in, from carb to starter, HEI and serpintine belt kit. The seats are the crappy old seats, but the int is new and the body is straight.
will post more about the results as I put it together. It was a steal, but wont move without clutch and flywheel, help me find a good but cheap clutch and flywheel, thanks in advance
