Hello I just got my 1996 Firebird Console in today and began the swap into my 1987 Bird and the probloms started right away, so anyone who has done this swap, please help me.
I did search but only found swaps for 4th gen consoles going into 4th gen cars.
Well first I couldn't get it in there at all so I took off the radio pod section and then slid console on, then it was hitting on the shifter it's self the black part at the very bottom and was pushing up the center section of the new console so I then rasied it in the back and everything looked good untill I put the radio pod back on, now the radio pod pushes the front of the console down and makes the center section pop up. So I need to find a way to modify the radio pod possiably, I'm juts at a totall loss, any help would be great.
