  • front caliper question

I have a '92 base model firebird. I think I'm going to try to do a brake job on the front. Just so I know what I'm getting into, does anyone who's done this know if my model has single-piston or dual-piston calipers? I've never taken the time to look closely, but I'm pretty sure they're single-piston.

it's in the haynes. I'll see what/if the 85 service manual has it.

Well, I am only speaking from experience. Out of all of the T/As, GTAs, Formulas and so on that I have parted out, I have never seen any on a 3rd gen.

it may also be an option for those cars that got the aluminum drums in back.

I've searched through service manuals and tech databases (including this one), but to no avail. Like I said, I've never taken the time to look, but I'm not gonna' jack my car up and take the wheel off just to see if it is or not. . .that's why I was hoping someone else may know.
