My girlfriend is selling her '92 Paseo, and shes looking at 3rd gens. Do you guys know of any common problems with them? Shes most likely getting the 2.8 V6 or the 3.1, but there is a chance that she might get a 305. Thanks for any help in advance guys.

Black IROC w/T-tops, except no other 3rd gen comero.

problems w/ 2.8/3.1: most every ignant fool says "why didn't you get a v-ate?"

problems w/305: most ignant fools say "how come you didn't get a 350?"

Haha I was like "why'd it get moved" then i was looking for it for like 5 minutes, then i remembered theres a 3rd gen section. Heres the link to the car, KBB on it is 1500, so I figure we can talk the guy down. http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=182702887&dealer_id=56335736&car_ye ar=1988&search_type=used&make=CHEV&distance=50&mod el=CAM&address=63117&certified=&advanced=&max_pric e=50 00&min_price=1&end_year=2006&start_year=1981&isp=y &lang=en&cardist=13

**Also, this section doesnt get frequented to often, could this go back to the lounge? Theres a post there right now about a '85 T/A....

305's often have an "engine drone" that is normal but will freak out some people.

when you hold it at an elevated RPM (say around 2-3 grand) it kind of sounds like the car is pulsing. that is normal

also, i see alot of these cars being sold with a tweaked frame, make sure to drive it first, and look at the t-tops very closely to give away any indication of twisting. its alot harder to tell on a hardtop...

a t-topped car is the only 3rd gen for me though :D

well... i'd go convertible too as long as i wasnt planning on building it up. (i hear rumors of weak frame issues on unibody verts)

i'd look that car over closely

it might have been in a collision, that is not the original hood (that is an IROC hood and the 6 bangers obviously do not come with those)

But it looks to be a very clean vehicle, nice daily driver or a good palette for a land rocket... lol
