  • To power or not to power....

the windows. that is the question.

I have everything to covert to power windows (motors, regulators, wiring, even the channels from donor doors) and door locks (minus solinoids). I cain get the solinoids from the same car that I'm getting the vee-ate from. Should I go ahead & install while waiting to pull the six, or just save it for a winter project?

I do have the power window center console peice too. It needs my metallic blue prom dress treatment though.

Question 2) The wiring has a big plastic covering that "goes across teh dash" or somewhere. Is this neccessary, or can I just run the wire where I want to?

To answer question 2, dump the plastic crap and run the wiring wherever you want. Originally, that wiring is installed behind the dash and the only way to reinstall it is to remove the entire dash assembly.

wellll, we pulled just about everything today, stoppin gat the just taking the motor & tranny out. We were able to not have to cut any wirinf, except for what was in the way of teh sawz-all ( headlight wiring, of which I have my origonal on the car & a spare harness coutesy of our sight sponsor Jerriko). Since I'll probably end up yanking the dash again & run all vee-ate wirinf, I'm gonna go ahead & power things up too.
