I know for a fact in my friends 95 ford mustang there is a fuel cut off switch in the back.
A big red button near the drivers tail light. If you get rear ended (or drop the car off jacks and then try to start it a month later) it will cut off all fuel to the engine.

The car will not turn over if the button is not pressed in.
People go into shops saying thier car is not working, the shop presses the button and wha-bam.
This is mostly only on early 90's fords/mazdas.
