yea but look at what ford has done in the pass with boasting about there #'s in hp u get that car on the dyno and i bet ull never see over 220 hp at the wheels. ford always over shoots chevy keeps it honest, and always has. i have a teacher with a dyno and he dyno'd the gt500 and got 452hp at the wheels witch is good but not what the tag says......... 2010 camaro dynod same day 401hp....

when they say cars have 400hp, they do not mean at the wheels....you need to factor in about a 17-20% drivetrain loss for rwhp, or whp....I don't recall the 2010 camaro dynoing 400hp at all...it was in the 3xx, there's a bunch of dyno vids of it on youtube with charts and all...

450hp from a engine rated at 500 at the crank seems pretty good to me. That comes out to be like 530 at the crank assuming a .15 drivetrain loss?

yep, pretty close. the new gt500's are spitting out 540 on the crank, so that's a relatively accurate dyno pull in the mid 400's on the wheels.
