How much horsepower can you get out of a V6 Camaro?

  • #2
As deep as your wallet permits , lol haven’t seen a fully built 3.6 but the 3.8 800 horsepower can be had. But I think that’s with a beefier crank. Stock 400-500 hp. Haven’t see any forged pistons or aftermarket engine parts for the 3.6 engine.

The market for 3.6 has been pretty when it comes to bolt ons.

Pretty much what Steve said. As deep as your wallet will go lol.

Right now I know of this twin turbo V6 Camaro putting down 647rwhp: https://gmauthority.com/blog/2013/11...-rwhp-on-dyno/ Maybe more now since that was in 2013?

There are procharger kits out there that boast 500+hp.

Do your research and put together a Camaro with all your parts working together and I think 700+ rwhp isn't terribly hard to achieve on boost. Add in some weight reduction and you have one helluva fast car that very few cars on the road can and will touch.

Tim King had the fastest 3.8L V6 Camaro. It was twin turbo pushing about 800rwhp and turning 8's in the 1/4 mile.

        2002 SOM Z28 Camaro - 12.9 @ 104 mph
        1996 3800 Camaro - 13.43 @ 100.77 mph
