According to Left Lane News, production of 2010 Camaros will begin Monday Feburary 16, 2009 at the Oshawa plant in Ontario. Production of verts will being much later on December 7, 2009.
This means, assuming there are no snags prior to production or during the process, cars will start hitting dealers some time around March 2009.
GM is really late to the party at that point with the mustang being out for years and the challenger being out for about a year. I'm sure the camaro will sell well regardless, but it would have been nice if GM could have stolen Dodge's thunder by hitting a release date close to theirs.
