Re: 3.6 Test drive with KBB
3.8 is something like 15.7 or 15.5
the new camaro is only 3700lbs isn't it?
I thought that the LS1's were 3400 and they were pulling 13.6's....300lbs extra shouldn't put you at 14.4
Granted I know its not the same car/engine but I was expecting 13.9-14.0

Re: 3.6 Test drive with KBB
the v6 will be about 3900 with a average driver though. and you seem to miss the fact that the v6 will be making all its power up top, not down low, so getting it off the line will take more effort to move that wieght compared to a lt1 or ls1

Re: 3.6 Test drive with KBB
where do you get that the power is going to be up top? If that is the case, then i suppose I could see mid 14's...
I was really hoping we would break 13's in these seems how the cobalt SS's are running mid low 14's....kind of a shame to have your second best car in the line up (next to the vette) running the same times as the cobalts, even if it is the base model camaro....

Re: 3.6 Test drive with KBB
FYI, next year is the last year for cobalts, theyre done in 2010.
and yes its going to be a rev'er, its DOHC. the dont make power until up top, why else would they have a 7k redline?
