  • T-tops? Convertible?

Sorry if this has already been discussed, But will the new Camaro come in T-top and Convertible styles also. I haven't seen any picks with these features. It would really be a bummer cause I like t-tops more than convertibles. It would be sweet if the top came off in a corvette fashion.

Initially, the camaro will come in hardtop only, with optional sunroof (which some ppl feel screws up the lines of the car, namely the reverse mohawk roof). They are supposed to release the convertible into the second year of production, although I'm not sure if they've released what sort of convertible will it be (soft-top or retractible hardtop). The convertible prototype has been out for at least a year now I think, although there's no roof on it at all (soft top or retractible)...so we'll have to wait to see what the design team is going for.

It'd be nice if there they provided both options...soft and retractible...but highly unlikely.

you couldn't get t-tops on a first gen and that is what the 5th gen is harking back to. There'll always be room for custom t-tops for those really inclined.

t-tops def. no... never came on the original style car and would look rediculious.. a convertible is definitly something they need to figure out.

I'm a fan of t-tops, but I don't think I would want anything else aside from a hardtop on the 5th gen. The "double bubble" roof that they got from the C6 makes even a sunroof look funny.

The fact it has no t-tops removes it from being anything more then another Retro wannabe. The reason I got into F-bodies was because they had t-tops! I will never buy a hard top anything and if I want a Vert I'll buy a Sky.

are you implying that, to be an accurate "retro" 1st gen, it has to have t-tops?
