It's rated at 405, 365 is 90% of405, so that's only 10% drivetrain loss. What more do you want? I saw a vid of one that ran 13.00 at 110. I don't know the '60 time, but that's a low-12-second trap speed with better rubber and launch. Do you want a low-11-second car with pitiful gas mileage and no saleability as a result?

true... but thats still only 15% drive train loss, which is still good isn't it?
correct me if im wrong but isn't normal drivetrain loss 70-80%?

            hahaha no its around 10-20%

if it were 70-80% then our v6 camaros would get 20-30hp to the wheels...a go-cart would out runs it

Good I was about to say the same thing.

Considering too that this car is 2 ton it will be quite a lost once it is run on the track.

Come on people this is not bad for a production car with no mods put a SC on that puppy and then see what it does I bet the number increase quit a bit. And besides the car it is competing with is the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger I know the 2010 gt is 315 at the crank and I am not sure what the doge with the Hemi is but the dodge is substantially heavier the the camaro. I think all in all they did a good job with this car concidering the financial state they are in right now. And I drive a 08 Mustang GT as a DD and I am defending the camaro?

a 95 Z28, dyno'ed a year or so ago at 346 to the wheels, and that was before tune and a few more mods. so i know its over 365+ now.

Just depressing to me, to see the numbers, and track times.

dont get me wrong its a badass car, just not what i was expecting.

is everyone forgetting that the SS is not the top of the line 5th gen? if all goes according to plan *fingers crossed* the z28 will be a 550+hp cadillac CTS-V supercharged derrived monster. the SS is just a taste of what's to come if GM can hold the project down.

and besides, a bolt-on 5th gen SS would rip some pretty solid times on the strip.
